CARB Factory EVs

•Ford Ranger EV

REVolt is dedicated to the preservation of the Ford Ranger EV. Built from 1998 through 2001, of the approximately 1500 trucks built, less than 400 of these trucks are still on the road, but they’re the most common OEM Factory EV available today.

•Chevrolet S10 EV

GM crushed all but a few EV1s, but had sold a number of 1997 and 1998 S10 pickups with the exact same drive train. Because they didn’t own these trucks, they didn’t have the option of crushing them too. There are only approximately 60 still left and fewer than that running. For more information about S10 EVs, see the S10EV group on Yahoo.

•Toyota RAV4 EV

Toyota manufactured all electric versions of their popular RAV4 and they’re the most popular and only all electric factory SUV. For more information about RAV4 EVs, see the RAV4 group on Yahoo.

•Others – Besides these three more ‘common’ Factory EVs, Honda, Nissan, and Chrysler all developed low volume electric vehicles. Along with GM’s EV1, most of these were crushed and are all very rare today.

Factory EVs were developed as part of a California Air Resources Board  (CARB) requirement for zero emission vehicles during the 1990s.
