NGS Tool Loan Program

 
 

  1. BulletA deposit is required to borrow the REVolt NGS tester and program card. You can use PayPal, a USPostal Service Money Order, or Personal Check. Please contact REVolt to arrange deposit payment.

  2. BulletThe NGS tester will be shipped to you USMail Priority. You can elect to pay for insurance. The total cost of shipping the tester to you will vary by location, but it is about $15 with about $10 for insurance. The actual cost will show on the package when it arrives. You will need to refund this amount to REVolt when you return the tester in working order. Please enclose a USPostal Service money order or check made out to Scott Couchman for the actual cost of the postage to ship the tester to you.

  3. BulletWhen the tester arrives, unpack it AND SAVE ALL THE PACKAGING!!You will need the foam inserts to return the tester. Please assemble the tester by inserting the portion with the cables attached into the display portion. Make sure the two are fully seated and connected. Connect the tester to the OBS2 port on your truck and it will boot automatically. Please verify that it will boot and contact REVolt immediately if you have an problems.

  4. BulletYou can keep the tester for 10 days. If you still need to use the tester after 10 days, please contact REVolt to request an extension.

  5. BulletWhen you’re finished and ready to return the NGS tester, get a Medium Priority Mail Shipping Box (not the Flat Rate Box!) from the USPostal Service - they’re FREE! - and repack the tester using the foam inserts you saved when the tester arrived. It is important to use a new box rather than reuse the box used to ship the tester to you. Before sealing the box, include a money order or check to repay the cost to ship the tester to you.

  6. BulletOnce the tester is returned, it will be tested to show it’s working and then your deposit will be refunded. If you used PayPal to make the deposit, PayPal will also refund their fee, so there will be no cost to you.

NGS Instruction Manual

The NGS Instruction Manual is available for download from the Ranger EV Yahoo Group file section. Follow this link to the file. Please pay particular attention to the Operating Notes, NGS Setup, Vehicle and Engine Selection, and Diagnostic Data Link. Use of the NGS tester for Digital Measurements requires more advanced skills. Please disregard this section and do not attempt to make these measurements.
